Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Your profile is not configured. If I remove my profile and re-add it I can get into my mailbox, however it immediately acts up. I can receive mail but can not send it. If I close Outlook I get the same error again and have to remove my account all over again. I have tried deleting the profile and all outlook files under my Windows profile, have removed my profile uninstalled office and re-installed.
I have tried running 'outlook. All other office products as well as Outlook Online work. Right click on Outlook or Outlook. Click on the Compatibility tab and then check if the option to run Outlook in Compatibility mode is checked or not. If it is checked then un-check it and then test if Outlook opens and works normally without crashing with the error.

This error comes up when you try to delete the default Outlook data file. To delete this, you will have to first set another data file as default, since Outlook cannot operate without a default data file.
